A very warm welcome to Annalisa Duina who recently joined our team as a Marketing Technology Consultant, bringing a wealth of technical experience and knowledge to our growing team of problem solvers. Annalisa is a creative go-getter, who enjoys simplifying and resolving complex Martech challenges and here she shares more about her role, interests and views as a Marketing Technology Consultant:
Tell me more about your role as marketing technology consultant
I work in the technical team focusing on clients who use Salesforce and Pardot. In my day-to-day, I fix and improve existing processes and build new solutions in line with our client’s requirements. Additionally, I assist the senior Marketing Technology Consultant with testing and documenting more complex solutions.
What attracted you to work at WoolfHodson?
I wanted my career focus to shift to a 100% technical role in the Salesforce/Pardot space. After speaking with the team at Woolfhodson, I knew this was the right place for me. The interview process was straightforward and effective and the team was able to understand how my skills and personality would fit with the team without spending months interviewing.
Why is Martech a good industry to work in?
It’s an incredibly fast-paced industry, but the community of experts is very inclusive and supportive.
What skills do you need to work in Martech? And in particular, at WoolfHodson?
Creativity is a must-have. One must be also able to ‘pause to think’. For each action taken within a MAP, we must think of all implications today and further down the line.
What is your one tip on how to get ahead in the Martech industry?
Don’t be afraid to ask. Companies pay top money for their MAPs and these companies have a great support team who can help experts navigate the most complex of issues. Then read all the blogs, watch all the webinars, and subscribe to all of the newsletters! Finally, start with learning one platform well, then those connected to it and then expand your expertise to similar platforms.
What’s your career highlight?
Becoming a consultant!
What’s the biggest Martech challenge you’ve worked on?
Like most marketing technology experts of my generation, consent and GDPR.
How did you overcome this challenge?
Teamwork and tons of reading.
What are your top tips for keeping things simple when you tackle complex Martech projects?
Spending enough time understanding what’s already in place is key to simplifying future solutions. Listen to the story, and the requirements and understand existing complexities.
What’s your biggest career or life lesson?
If I could go back I would definitely work on my confidence much earlier in my career. As for life, never miss an opportunity to travel!
